For cosmetic and elective procedures, this gap is even wider. Surgical centers discharge quickly. There is rarely nursing follow-up built into the process. The responsibility falls to family members who may not know what to watch for.
Our post-op care service bridges that gap with a dedicated Registered Nurse who coordinates directly with your surgical team, monitors your recovery daily, and responds to changes before they become complications.

Every aspect of your recovery
Pre-surgery planning
We coordinate with your surgical team before your procedure date. Your RN reviews discharge instructions in advance so care begins the moment you leave the facility.
Discharge escort & handover
We collect you from the surgical center, receive a clinical handover from your surgical team, and have your home prepared and ready for a safe, comfortable arrival.
Wound and drain care
Daily assessment and dressing changes by a registered nurse. Drain management, incision monitoring, and early detection of infection or breakdown.
Medication management
Pain protocol adherence, antibiotic completion, anti-nausea support, and monitoring for adverse reactions or drug interactions.
Vital signs and health monitoring
Regular measurement of blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and swelling — with clear escalation criteria agreed in advance with your surgeon.
Mobility and positioning support
Safe movement assistance, proper positioning for healing, lymphatic drainage coordination where indicated, and gentle ambulation guidance as recovery progresses.
Nutrition and hydration
Post-surgical dietary support: meals aligned with recovery requirements, hydration monitoring, and support for dietary restrictions after bariatric or abdominal procedures.
Follow-up appointment escort
Transportation to and from post-op appointments. Your RN accompanies you and can communicate directly with your surgeon about recovery progress.
Family and loved one communication
Regular written and verbal updates for family members, whether they are present or managing from out of state. No news blackouts during recovery.

How post-op care works

Pre-surgery consultation
We speak with you (and your surgeon if needed) before your procedure. We review your discharge plan, prepare your home environment, and establish your care schedule.

Discharge and arrival
Your RN meets you at the surgical center, receives the clinical handover, and accompanies you home. Day one is managed — not improvised.

Active recovery support
Daily visits or continuous care depending on your needs. Wound care, medication management, monitoring, mobility support, and nutrition — every day of your recovery window.

Transition and close-out
As you recover, care intensity tapers. Your RN confirms your surgeon is satisfied with progress, provides a written recovery summary, and closes out your care plan.
